Abstract
EPC project general contracting is a popular project management mode in the
world in recent years, that is, the organic combination of design-procurement-
construction. It is a kind of project implementation organization mode including
design, equipment procurement, construction, installation and commissioning, until
the completion of the transfer. In recent years, the EPC project general contracting
mode has become a general trend. It is both an opportunity and a challenge for the
general contractor. We must tap our own potential and give full play to the advantages
of EPC project general contracting. From the point of view of the general contractor,
this paper analyzes the characteristics, methods, process and control emphasis of the
bidding process of EPC projects. Combining with the specific bidding practice, this
paper analyzes the preparation before bidding, bidding quotation and risk analysis in
the bidding process, which can provide reference for enterprises in the bidding
process of overseas EPC projects.
